Ah, yes, there is much unraveling in the world order at present. And it must.
This version of our society is as unsustainable as it is unjust. It can be overwhelming and bewildering. Sometimes it helps to get a new vantage point. Here is an offering to reorient you towards a more hopeful potential.
Message from the Future
We will remember this time. Not as the moment when the frayed threads of social order finally gave way, dropping us into a new intensity of change and disruption
But as the moment we began to understand our role in shaping what came next.
We thought we were small. We thought our choices didn’t matter. We thought the forces around us were too big to shift.
But we can see it clearly now: When external forces were clawing for our attention, it was the quality of the attention we paid to each other. It was the way we carefully chose our words and our questions. It was the way we showed up for our neighbour when it would have been easier not to.
It came from falling to our knees and worshipping the ordinary day, reverent at the business of the bee, the service of the worm.
It was those moments where we stayed present when it would have been so much easier to look away, when we gave more than we knew we had.
And now we see that those small, almost invisible decisions added up.
They changed the texture of things.
They changed our relationships with each other and the world around us. They changed and remapped our hearts. They shifted our energetic alignment
The tiniest moments fractally replicated at the largest scale.
These moments we tended to, changed what became possible afterwards.
We realised we did not need to be perfect. It was a huge release. We only needed to stay awake to our own humanity, and to the humanity of others. That was the ask.
And we rose to it. Bit by bit.
And from here, looking back, we, you and we want you to know this:
You were never powerless. You were a significant part of the turning.
And you did better than you think.
